The Pacific Crest Trail was my first thru-hike and it was quite the introduction. I honestly had no idea about what I was getting myself into. I´m an outdoor kind of girl, but I wasn't by any means ready to walk through a desert 12 hours a day. Yet, somehow I survived and looking back, walking the PCT was the best decision of my life and the biggest adventure I had ever been on. Hiking taught me that I never want to have any “what ifs” in life and to just go for things even if that means failing a couple of times and learning things as you go. The trail has a way of crushing you and pulling you up just a few moments later. You go through every emotion possible and you get to meet a whole new version of yourself out there. I like that version of me, so I guess I'll just have to keep on hiking.
